When we miss the little things, do we miss the big opportunity?
This week Stores Assurance is visiting buildings in my market. This is the HQ team that creates our best practices, then pops up and randomly assesses how effective we are in executing them consistently. They rate on a scale using Red for stores with lots of negatives, and Green for stores who are great Cogs. Stores that are Red are fed upward to RVPs, VPs and any other important acronym in the company. They are sentenced to writing Action Plans, and receiving endless feedback about how important Organizational Excellence is to maintaining our brand...
While it does serve to be a good checks and balance system, as they are objective and free from any political bias. The ironic flaw with Stores Assurance is that many of them have never worked in stores.
